There are so many fitness, business, relationship, financial (you name it) experts and gurus out there these days.
Many of them convinced that their way is the only way to be successful.
And if you want to be successful like they are, you’ll buy into their methods, philosophies, and ultimately, their products and services.
What I’ve come to realize is that there’s more than one way to be successful in any one area of our lives.
How do I know this?
Because I continue to do things in a way that works for me.
That makes sense to me.
That I believe in.
Not based on what the experts and gurus think and advise doing.
And guess what?
I’ve still been able to achieve success in many areas of my life.
Don’t get me wrong, I’ll always listen to what these experts and gurus have to say.
I just don’t believe their way is the only way to success.
I believe it’s one of many ways and it’s up to me to decide which way works best for me.
I’ve had clients lose weight by running regularly while other clients do not like running at all.
And while they don’t like to run, they do love swimming and so they achieved their weight loss with swimming.
I’ve been told every since I started my business that I have to niche down.
That if I’m serious about my business and want it to be successful, that it’s a must.
I thought about it, considered it, even tried it for a while.
It didn’t feel right to me, so I canned it.
Which felt very right.
I’m happy to say my business continues to see new levels of success despite me not niching down.
Some swear by investing in Bitcoin and have seen massive success.
Others are convinced investing in real estate is the way to go and have made lots of money doing it.
I’m met tons of happy successful couples.
Some say traveling together is the secret to a successful relationship.
Some say it’s lots of communication.
Others say it’s not following the urge to kill each other (haha)!
They’ve all found success in their own way.
What works for them may not work for me.
What works for me may not work for you.
There are multiple roads that lead to success.
I’ll always listen to what other successful experts and gurus have to say.
But I’ll always follow the roads to success that I believe in, that work best for me.
In the words of Robert Downey Jr. …
“Listen, smile, agree, and then do whatever the fuck you were going to do anyways.”
