Cheaters Will Always Win (But)…

Whoever said cheaters never win was very wrong, they always win.

How they win or prefer to win however, that’s an entirely different question and one that only we can answer for ourselves.

I’m not ashamed to admit that I’ve cheated at certain times in my life because that’s life.

You live, you learn, you grow, and get better as you go.

I cheated on tests back in high school, maybe you did too.

I cheated on a girlfriend in high school as well, perhaps you did as well.

Neither of which I am proud of.

And while I got to have my cake and eat it too (getting the grade without studying, being promiscuous without consequence) the only person I cheated was myself.

There’s no better feeling (for me at least) than earning my wins and victories.

Whether it’s getting a good grade because of my hard work, earning trust because of higher standards I’ve set for myself, or watching my business grow because of my desire to make a positive impact in the lives of others versus sketchy marketing tactics.

And while cheating on whatever it may be can bring victory and wins, whether it’s grades, money, business, clients, women, whatever…

There’s no victory when standing in front of a mirror and the person I see looking back at me is a cheater, lier, a fake, a fraud.

It’s a shitty feeling.

However, it’s an incredible feeling when standing in front of that same mirror and looking back at me is someone I am proud of, respect, and believe in.

A person of morales, values, and doing what’s right.

The best part of it all…

Win or lose, I’m rewarded with these feelings despite the outcome and that’s the biggest victory of all.

Lots more in this episode of my Mornings With Mike podcast.

You’re awesome…

Cheers!

Mike
