Here’s some blunt statements you might not have expected from me.
I don’t care what others are doing.
I don’t care what others are saying.
I don’t care where others are going.
I don’t care what others are creating.
I don’t care.
Let me actually rephrase that a bit.
I do care, but I don’t.
Why don’t I care?
Because my focus is on what I’m doing.
What I’m saying.
Where I’m going.
What I’m creating.
That’s my focus.
That’s what matters most to me.
With social media everywhere these days and constantly in our face, it’s easy to get caught up in what others are doing.
Whether it’s family, friends, foes, celebrities, whoever.
To the point where we begin focusing more on what others are doing versus what we’re doing.
What others have versus what we have.
Where others are going versus where we’re going.
What others have created versus what we’re creating or have created.
I love, respect, and appreciate all that my family, friends, and mentors are up to.
I support them fully and always enjoy celebrating their wins with them.
This is the part of me that cares.
The part of me that doesn’t care, is the part of me that remains focused on what I’m doing.
What I care about.
What matters to me.
Not comparing.
Not feeling behind.
Not feeling less successful.
Not feeling anything other than excitement for what I’m doing.
Confident in what I’m saying.
Optimistic about where I’m going.
Hopeful about all I’m creating.
I don’t want to be (nor am I trying to be) anyone other than me.
That feels good to me.
